Shropshire V’s Derbyshire – Sunday 12^th June at The Shropshire Golf Centre 

Our second match was against Shropshire away at The Shropshire Golf Club near Telford. This course was unfamiliar to most of us but we had heard the greens were very quick compared to what we were used too although the course was in great condition and the weather was good. 

Jemima teed off first against Sophie and played some great golf and sank a long put on the 17^th to win her match 2up. Teeing off second was Millie against Jess and after losing the first 3 holes Millie played some solid golf to eventually earn a great half. Gabby and Summer had tough games against in form Shropshire players Seren and Lily losing 3&1 and 6&4 respectively. I played against Lucy and had a very tight game, after 16 holes I was one up.  I managed to win my match 2&1 after scoring a par on the 17^th. 

We all found the course testing but Eleanor had done some great homework providing us with some detailed course notes that certainly helped us earn an excellent draw. Thank you to Eleanor and another very good result for Derbyshire. Well played Girls!
